Day 21 – Kontur population data
This challenge required using the global hex gridded population dataset from Kontur. I wanted to visualise a very unequally populated part of the world, and Australia seemed like a good fit, although maybe too good! My map showed three different classification schemes of the same data. Shown here is just one, based on a quantile classification with an inset showing the area around Sydney.
